CRANE Workshop took place on 20-21st June

Workshop on Numerical Methods for Aircraft Noise Propagation 20-21 June 2017, Université du Maine, Le Mans (France)

Computer simulations now play a central role in the acoustic design of many components ofaircraft engines and auxiliary power units. This is also an active topic of scientific research, withthe aims of developing more efficient methods capable of solving larger models, and extending therange of physical problems that can be tackled with these techniques. This workshop is organized as part of the EID-CRANE research project (http://www.crane-eid.eu),which is now in its final year. This FP7 Marie Curie project involves Siemens PLM and the Institute ofSound and Vibration Research at the University of Southampton as main participants and the KULeuven and Rolls-Royce Deutschland as associate partners. This workshop intends to present the research conducted by the research fellows of the CRANEproject to the scientific and industrial communities, as well as provide a forum to discuss currentand future directions for research and trends in the applications of computational aero-acoustics.
